Teacher licensure bills slated for House Education Policy Committee

The House Education Policy Committee is scheduled to discuss a trio of teacher licensure bills (HF 1116, HF 1415 and HF 1329) during its hearing set for 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, at the State Office Building in St. Paul.

  • HF 1116 — Licensure requirement provisions technical changes made.
  • HF 1559 — Paraprofessionals paid orientation required, paraprofessional training funding provided, and money appropriated.
  • HF 1415 — Teacher licensure and board composition technical changes made.
  • HF 1329 — Teacher licensure requirements modified.

  • HF 1868 — Student journalists in grades 6 through 12 speech and press rights clarified.
