MDE to present draft of ESSA plan at committee meeting

The Minnesota Department of Education is scheduled to present an early draft of the state’s Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan Wednesday during a joint hearing of the House and Senate education policy committees.

The hearing will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the State Office Building (Room 5) in St. Paul.

The committee will allow public testimony if time allows. If you would like to testify on the state’s ESSA plan, contact Andrew Hasek at andrew.hasek@house.mn. Stakeholders will be limited to three minutes per organization on their testimony.
