Continuing Resolution maintains federal education funding through May 5

A one-week Continuing Resolution (CR) has been signed into law by President Donald Trump. The U.S. Senate approved the measure Friday, April 28, by a voice vote. The U.S. House vote on the CR (H.J. Res. 99) is recorded at

The CR continues federal funding at current levels for education and other programs through May 5, giving Congress additional time to negotiate a final appropriations bill for the remainder of fiscal year 2017.
