Sen. Franken addressed MSBA Board ahead of education secretary vote

Sen. Al Franken talked with some members of the MSBA Board of Directors Tuesday in Washington, D.C., just moments before he cast his vote against Betsy DeVos, President Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. education secretary.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions approved DeVos’ nomination on a 12-11 party-line vote. DeVos’ nomination will now go before the full Senate for final approval.
