MDE looking for ESSA feedback via short survey

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) has created a survey to gather feedback about the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). MDE’s survey is available online at http://survey.mn.gov/s.asp?k=148415376728.

Commissioner Brenda Cassellius provided MSBA members with an “ESSA Update” Thursday during the MSBA Leadership Conference. During the presentation, Commissioner Cassellius encouraged all board members and superintendents to provide their input.

Please share this opportunity with other officials in your school district. Your ideas will help MDE make sure all students succeed in school. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymous.

The survey is open until January 31. Please contact mde.essa@state.mn.us with any questions.

Visit http://education.state.mn.us/MDE/dse/essa for more information on Minnesota’s ESSA state plan development.
