imagesY2QRO5RIMinnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) is pleased to report the 2015 Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program has generated much interest.  The Office of Higher Education has received over 2,000 applications and will continue to accept applications. This loan forgiveness program was part of MSBA’s Teacher Shortage Act (TSA) and was enhanced by $2 million.

If you are pursuing a teaching degree or know someone who is, there is still an opportunity to apply for the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program until June 30th.

The Office of Higher Education will first notify applicants who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements. Remaining applications will receive an initial prioritization and those applicants will receive an email asking for additional documentation to confirm the information submitted on the application.

You can find out more information about the selection process in the FAQ document available at: http://www.ohe.state.mn.us/pdf/tslr_faq.pdf
