In this conference call, MSBA’s Denise Dittrich and Kimberley Dunn Lewis discussed the Teacher Shortage Act, a bill that would increase the funding formula by 1 percent, concurrent enrollment credentialing, the new requirements proposed for school boards in the House and Senate omnibus policy bills, school board elections, new task forces and much more.

NOTE: During the conference call’s question-and-answer session, one school board member asked for the contact information for members of the House Government and Elections Policy Committee in regards to a bill (HF 3123) that would modify the special election timeline to fill a vacancy on the school board.
