2016 Minnesota legislative session gets underway today

Source: Session Daily

Minnesota lawmakers gather today at noon for the start of the 2016 legislative session.

A later-than-usual start to session — due to ongoing Capitol renovations — means lawmakers will have to hit the ground running this spring with just 10 weeks to complete their work. The 2016 legislative session has a constitutionally mandated end date of May 23.
