Gov. Mark Dayton recently announced that he wants lawmakers to approve $100 million in state funds for broadband access grants to improve broadband to rural Minnesota.
“That’s essential to give everyone in Greater Minnesota equal access to the economic future that people in the metropolitan area enjoy,” Dayton said.
MSBA is pleased that Gov. Dayton recognizes the need for all Minnesota schools and homes to have access.
MSBA Legislative Policy 1.64 calls on the Legislature “to support border-to-border high-speed Internet access for all Minnesotans.”
