National School Boards Association (NSBA) officials recently confirmed with the House Education and the Workforce Committee and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions that committee leaders are preparing for the next steps in the Elementary & Secondary Education Act (ESEA) reauthorization process.

House-Senate conferees are expected to be appointed early next week, with a conference report filed by November 30, and floor action anticipated in December.
