Look up your school district’s funding through MDE’s spreadsheet

The Minnesota Department of Education has released a new document — “General Fund State Aid and Levy Revenues, 2016 to 2017: 2015 End of Session.”

The spreadsheet will show you how the new state funding impacts your school district — specifically for the major categories of revenue — for 2016 and 2017.

Visit http://www.mnmsba.org/Portals/0/Spreadsheets/2015-SchoolDistrictRuns.xlsx to download a spreadsheet (save the document to your desktop before opening).

Click on the tabs (located toward the bottom on the spreadsheet) to view specific revenue for your school district — alternative facilities, extended time, School Readiness, American Indian, ECFE and Q Comp.

You can also download this document at http://w20.education.state.mn.us/MDEAnalytics/Data.jsp. (In the Category field, select “Financial Trends.” Under Subcategory, choose “Revenue Trends.” For Year, select “2016-2017.”)

If you are unable to access the spreadsheet, please email MSBA staff member Bruce Lombard for assistance at blombard@mnmsba.org.
