U.S. Congressman honors life of longtime Bloomington School Board member

This week, U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen recognized the contributions of the late Arlene Bush on the House floor.

Bush was a longtime member of the Bloomington School Board. She passed away on May 17.

In 2014, MSBA named an award in Bush’s honor — the Arlene Bush Board Member of Distinction Award for school board members that reach 1,000 MSBA training points or more.

Bush amassed nearly 1,300 MSBA training points during her school board career. Bush was also a former MSBA Board Director and chair of the Minnesota School Boards Association Insurance Trust (MSBAIT).
