MSBA members: Thank you for your advocacy this session

Dear Board Members,

Thank you very much for standing up for public education through your advocacy efforts during the 2014 legislative session.

Your efforts made a substantial impact on the Health Insurance Transparency Act and the Safe and Supportive Schools bill. By reaching out to your local legislators, you helped improve these bills for our school districts.

Working together with you, MSBA also accomplished critical work on:

Local Optional Revenue,

teacher licensure,

the teacher basic skills test,

labor laws,

School Trust Lands,

sales tax exemptions for booster clubs and PTAs,

and much more.

Don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you might have regarding the legislative session. It has been an honor for us to represent you at the Capitol!

Sincerely,

Grace Keliher, MSBA Director of Government Relations
